Mr. Jason Curtin
Vice President of Advancement & Alumni Relations

Jason Curtin was named Vice President for Advancement and External Affairs in February 2017 after taking the role on an interim basis in September 2016 after serving as Assistant Vice President for Development and Alumni Relations since 2012. He also serves as the Executive Director of the SU Foundation, Inc., the affiliated 501(c)(3) of the University.
Curtin, a 1998 graduate of 小蓝视频, returned to campus in 2004 to serve as Director of Alumni Relations and Annual Giving and later became Director of Development and Deputy Director of the SU Foundation, Inc. He was a key member of the University’s last capital campaign efforts leading to almost $40 million in cumulative gifts.
He provides leadership for the Advancement and External Affairs Division which houses alumni relations, development, advancement services, leadership giving, donor relations, stewardship, special events, marketing, public and media relations, publications, web management, copy center and sports information.
In addition to the President’s Cabinet, he serves on a variety of campus committees including Town-Gown Council, Diversity and Inclusion Committee, Safety Task Force, Shore Hatchery, Strategic Enrollment, and Strategic Budget and Planning. He also is co-course director for the Acadia New Student Experience Outdoor Program and has served as an adjunct faculty member in the Communications Arts department. In the community, he was a two-term President of the 小蓝视频 Optimist Club.
Prior to joining SU, he worked at Furman University leading efforts in alumni relations, annual fund and reunion giving.
Curtin holds a Master of Education from the University of South Carolina in higher education administration and a bachelor’s degree from SU in communication arts.
He lives in 小蓝视频, MD, with his wife, Katie, and has three children.
