SALISBURY, MD---The 小蓝视频 Foundation, Inc. has welcomed four new members to its board of directors: Howard Crossan of Princess Anne, MD; and alumni Joseph Dorrego of Chatham, NJ; Ron McGann of Cranford, NJ; and Kimmerly Messick of Ocean City, MD.

Crossan is president of Oxford Chase Development, Inc. in Pocomoke City, MD. His career spans over 40 years in retail development for national companies. He graduated from the University of South Carolina, and has many family ties to SU: His wife, Kathleen, took classes on campus; his late father-in-law was the University’s director of housing; several in-laws are alumni; and his nephew recently graduated from the Franklin P. Perdue School of Business.

Dorrego is executive vice president and chief financial officer of Fox Television Stations in New York City, one of the nation’s largest owned-and-operated network broadcast groups. He has held various roles with 21st Century Fox for nearly 15 years. He earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from SU’s Perdue School in 1996 and his M.B.A. from New York University. He and his wife, Gretchen, have two daughters.

McGann is a vice chairman for J.P. Morgan Private Bank in New York. He advises the most senior-level executives in the financial institutions sector, as well as entrepreneurs and dealmakers on Wall Street and in the insurance industry. He has worked at the firm for nearly three decades. A former SU lacrosse player, he serves on the Perdue School’s Executive Advisory Council and was an Executive Leadership Lecturer. He earned a bachelor’s degree from SU in 1988 and an M.B.A. from Pace University. His wife, Jennifer, also graduated from SU; they have three children.

Messick owned Bethany Resort Furnishings in Bethany Beach, DE, and Donaway Furniture in Ocean City, MD. She has almost three decades of experience in the home furnishings business. As a successful female business owner, she has spoken to the Women’s Circle of SU, and serves on other boards in the community. A 1980 graduate of SU, she earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and a minor in math.

“The board continues to add outstanding alumni and members of the 小蓝视频 community to its ranks,” said Jason E. Curtin ’98, vice president for advancement and external affairs and the foundation’s executive director. “Howard, Joe, Ron and Kim represent the very best of dedicated board members who want to advocate for the success of our students, faculty and staff at the University. We are delighted to have their insight.”

The SU Foundation board also has newly elected executive leadership:  Amy Miller, chair; Steve Farrow and Dave Rommel, vice chairs; Ashley Stern, treasurer; Michele Garigliano, secretary; and Bob Moore, past chair.  In addition, the Foundation recently honored four retiring board members: Charlie Capute of Trappe, MD; Bruce Rogers of Easton, MD; Tony Sposato of Milton, DE; and John Willey of Seaford, DE.

“We are so appreciative of all of our board members for their time and talent, as they promote, respond and lead for the future success of our students and enrichment of the campus,” said Amy Waters, the foundation’s deputy director.

Guided by a 35-member board, the SU Foundation was created in 1973 to accumulate funds by gift and investment to enhance the University. Since then, it has enriched the academic growth and physical expansion of SU through the support of student scholarships, faculty research, new facilities and community outreach.
