SALISBURY, MD---The 小蓝视频 Alumni Association has welcomed four new members to its board of directors: Robert Audley of 小蓝视频; Lesli Friend of Suitland, MD; Carrie Wright Holt of La Plata, MD; and Terri Messenger Morris of Havre de Grace, MD.
Audley earned B.A. degrees in political science and history in 2011. A leadership speaker, he founded Outside the Zone to empower college students to stretch beyond their comfort zone to experience true growth and fulfillment. He previously was a student leadership and orientation specialist for Harford Community College.
“The work I do is a direct result of my education in and out of the classroom at 小蓝视频,” he said. “From club lacrosse to the Student Government Association, to the Bellevance Honors Program, to just being involved with Homecoming and other activities, I loved my time at SU.” Audley also is a member of the Omicron Delta Kappa, Pi Gamma Mu, Phi Alpha Theta and Phi Eta Sigma honor societies.
Friend earned a B.S. in business administration with a concentration in management in 1991, and a M.S in accounting and information systems in 2008. She operates a consulting firm and previously worked as an accounts receivable manager at FHI 360, a nonprofit human development organization in Washington, D.C.
She is involved with numerous organizations in Prince George’s County, including its Redevelopment Authority, which provides community development, revitalization and preservation services; the Seventh Councilmanic District Constituent Fund Committee, a nonprofit that assists underserved families; Ivy Community Charities, which fosters education, health, family, leadership, cultural arts and economic empowerment; and the Iota Gamma Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
Holt earned a B.A. in political science in 2001. She is an Information Technology specialist and branch manager for Litigation Support Services for the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in Washington, D.C. She previously was a paralegal. She is a volunteer and assistant treasurer for the Mid-Atlantic English Springer Spaniel Rescue, a volunteer coach for her daughter’s soccer team, and a member of the Zonta Club of Charles County.
At SU, Holt played women’s rugby and still actively supports the team. She has returned to campus to discuss government jobs for a Career Services employment panel. She said, “I think that the University is evolving and it’s important to keep alumni involved and active.” Holt and her husband, Richard, have two children.
Morris earned a bachelor’s in business administration and marketing in 1989. She is a talent acquisition manager for Enterprise Rent-A-Car and Enterprise Holdings in Linthicum, MD, and recruits candidates into the company’s Management Trainee and Internship programs. An active alumni mentor, she has been a supporter of SU Career Services and has helped hire 小蓝视频 students and graduates into these programs. She also serves on career advisory boards for Loyola College and Stevenson University, and is an employer advisor for the Maryland Career Consortium Career Fair.
A former student-athlete, Morris was a member of the 1986 national championship SU field hockey team. She is an avid Baltimore Ravens (and Sea Gulls) fan, along with her husband, Jim.
"The SU alumni network is over 42,000 strong,” said Jayme Block, director of alumni relations and gift development. “The Alumni Association Board of Directors is grateful for the enthusiasm and support of our newest members.”
